Andrew was always in my plans for an episode - since I've owned one of his rucksacks for years.

The story is bigger than just another outdoor manufacturer story - his business - "One Planet" is (nearly) carbon-neutral, has recovered from a factory fire, and is a model employer, with a staff loyalty as evidence.

This episode is the first Wildcast “how toâ€? podcast, and is about camp oven (dutch oven) cooking.  Recently a few mates and I gathered at Watto’s bush block, south of Canberra, and the highlight of the weekend was a camp oven dinner on Saturday night.

Here are some links of interest (there are thousands on the web).

Lucas Trihey is an Australian outdoor/adventure identity.

Every bit the gentleman, he has worked in the adventure / outdoor industry since the 1980’s, and has led a Mt Kilimanjaro climb for blind climbers, and an expedition to Antartica.

Experienced as a walker, climber, paddler, and a four-wheel driver, he’s absolutely qualified as an adventurer.

This episode consists mainly of an interview with him, days before he set off to commence this incredible, 20-day, 400plus Km, 1000 dune expedition.

Have a gander at his expedition web-page: http://www.escalade.com.au/simp_mn.html

First Episode, with MTB Racing focus.

A slow start (I'm still finding my "voice"!) but launches into a funny interview with Paul Witzerman, who competed in the Central Australian Bike Challenge recently.  A few ideas about my planned stories.
